Breaking the Cycle of Expensive Hobby Classes
In a unique initiative, a group of underprivileged kids in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is breaking free from the conventional summer break tradition of expensive hobby classes. Thanks to the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, these children are participating in a vibrant summer camp at Divisional Bal Bhavan, Old Palasia, completely free of cost.

“I want every child to dream big and know they are no less than anyone,” said VPS Rathore, assistant director of Bal Bhavan.
The initiative also supports women, especially widowed or single mothers affected by COVID-19. Several are receiving computer training aimed at boosting their employability and financial independence.
